Eenie Meenie Mynie Moe!

Visited CTY Aquarium at Jalan Burma,Penang yesterday evening with Shen-U. He got me four of these cute little zoom-zooms.

You must be wondering why I call them zoom-zooms. Its so clear that they were static in these shots!

Lets just say that these were the best shots out of 50 pictures... the rest were glimpses of blurry little backsides.

Side note: CTY is not a good place to buy pets, they keep their animals in appalling conditions. I saw sugar gliders all crouched together in a tank and on the floor with no hide outs to well... hide in. They have since lost their chinchilla stone statues and replaced them with hapless prairie dogs. The place also stinks and many of the little mammals have varying degrees of injuries and health problems. The products they bring in are also of the poorest quality for hamsters. At least i saved 4 of those little critters.

Having lived in the cramped and dirty conditions of CTY's little mammalian hell hole, these fella's reeked. Four little fella's no longer than 5cm stank up Shen U's car.

They do smell better now =)

Still need to get some dust bath for them though =/

They are now happily running around and making alot of noise in their new environment.

Definitely more active than yesterday, which I hope is a good sign.

Found her unmoving at a place she never goes...

...one of her paws elevated on a tiny platform.

Its all so unnatural, shes the noisiest critter of all !

I fed her some ham and cheese,

she looked up and ate it with a frenzy, and resumed being a white statue.

"Her time is up." And so I thought.

Placed her at her favourite corner, and piled shredded tissue to keep her warm.

She was gone later in the morning.

Salvation from fake korean pre-order goods

I've always loathed sellers lurking in forums, blogspots and even in Facebook nowadays selling "Korean/Japan Pre-ordered clothes".

From my experience the clothes are never accurate in comparison with the picture shown, and are manufactured by sources that differ from where the pictures were taken. No matter how much quality assurance and accuracy the sellers try to convince you, none of that crap is true.

I've tried to buy a few of them and have never attempted to buy any since, no matter how nice they look on the pictures.

Until now.

Korean Fashion Station is a website that sources clothes from ACTUAL korean online shops. You shop at the various shops (in korean mind you) and then the owner of Korean Fashion Station will provide you with a quotation. Of course it will be pricer than those rip offs due to postage from Korea and stuff, but with clothes, quality is a must.

女生却是一个很现实的角色。

The Trip that didn't make me broke

Before I post anything regarding my trip to Singapore and why I'm nearly broke, but not quite; I would like to share with you, what started it all.

Something happened to my big toe nail, obviously.

It doesn't look much does it.

Well lets just say this happened because some idiot left her suitcase sprawled on the floor and fumbled to the restroom in the middle of the night, kicked it real hard on the way back to bed, and ended up bawling like a baby.

I wonder which idiot that was.

To my horror I woke up everyone, including the parents (which is might I say, a big NONO). Someone called the front-desk of Swiss Hotel to request for paramedic and they called back to say that I had to be sent to the hospital IMMEDIATELY or my toe would have to be amputated.

We have all kinds of idiots in this world.

Kicked it right off...nearly

It was National Day in Singapore, a good day to loose a toe nail. The emergency room was full of people who looked like they needed a stay... at home. Must have been the National Day High.

When the nurse called out my name, I limped to the doctor's office. On the way a woman saw my toe and started screeching "OMG!", pointing and cringing.

Hey, I haz the loose toenail not you! And I haz not over reacted. Well at least you didn't see me over react.

Ouch...

The doctor administrated 2 anesthetic shots, one on each side of the toe. It hurt like hell ! I kid you not. When big toe was nicely numb and ready for slaughtering, he pulled out my nail with ... uh... something. My eyes were closed. Oh the horror!

I was given pain killers, in a giant dose I was told. Prolly thought I was a wuss with all the eyes wide shut and cringing stuff when he was extracting me nail.

Then I was charged... wait for it.....

161.90SGD !! $85 for consultation. $13.31 for medicine. $8 for practice cost and $45 for dressing-complex. Which was so complex it stuck to my toe and opened up the wound when I needed a redressing.

Now, I'm stuck at home. I'm paranoid about it not healing. I'm paranoid about going out. I'm paranoid that it will grow out crooked.

And the list goes on...

Sigh...

Is broke...

... and always ends up at Singapore during the Great Singapore Sale.

Can I haz donation?
